I know my sis, Mo is a big fan of Rumi poetry, so this is for you….
“This being human is a guesthouse, every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness … Welcome and entertain them all!” ~ from The Guesthouse by the poet, Rumi

I was surprised to find this great little video which shows the opening night of the RUA, if you want to go to 2.45 min you can see my sister Mo sitting in front of my little box and me taking a photo of her!
Always on the lookout for lovely new boxes to put my art in, so was delighted today when I discovered a great wooden box which will be perfect for an assemblage! Now what shall I put in it… that is the question.
I love the unusual so the this little box is was a pleasure to do, the colours of the little bottles are gorgeous. If you click on the picture you can get a real close up look at all the little details!
I am really looking forward to attending the opening evening of the RUA’s Exhibition in the Ulster Museum later this month. It is open to the public from 21st October for a month and is a great way to spend a rainy Saturday! Plus there is a lovely new coffee shop not to be missed. My piece ‘Time to Reflect’ will be on display so why not go along!

Last year I was fortunate enough to have another box called “How Time Slips Away” (see photo) exhibited and it was amazing to see how many types of arts and crafts were represented in the show.
